Volunteering

Volunteering

In order to achieve our objectives, we need the help and collaboration of volunteers, who will be able to carry out (mainly) reforestation work, we have a mountain that has been the victim of forest fires for several years, eliminating the existing flora and fauna, which is why which needs to be protected, in the back is the Nevado La Verónica, and it connects with other conservation areas such as Abra Málaga and we want this area to be a biological corridor through which many species can move without much danger and we can guarantee the protection.

Volunteers will be able to perform many activities, such as:

*Reforestation with native species of the area.

Reforestation is the key activity for achieving one of our objectives. This set of activities includes the planning, operation, control and supervision of all the processes involved in planting trees.

Management and care of nurseries, organic crops

Biohuerto

We practice organic agriculture, free of fertilizers, toxic chemical elements, we prepare our compost and earthworm humus as natural fertilizer and all our crops are fresh and nutritious vegetables.

Honeycomb care

Beekeeping

We are dedicated to the care and breeding of bees, we obtain and consume the products they make such as honey, royal jelly, propolis, wax and pollen, with the necessary protection and without the risk of being stung by bees you can get the honey.

Work in plantations of various fruit trees

Trees, in addition to giving us oxygen, purify the air, form fertile soils, prevent erosion, serve as refuges for fauna, reduce soil temperature, regenerate soil nutrients, improve the landscape: they provide us with food!

That is why the preparation of the land, planting, care, protection and harvesting need a lot of attention and help, we have many apples, peaches, plums, pears, figs, avocados, papains, elderberry, etc.

Agricultural activities

These are many and varied such as:

Management and care of guinea pigs, turkeys, chickens

Feeding, cleaning and general care are important, each species has special requirements that we must attend to.

Drip irrigation is one of the most efficient systems at present, the water supply is constant and uniform, drop by drop, which allows maintaining an optimal level of humidity in the root zone of the crops, achieving a good root development.
